Type your WhatsApp number and get three things in one go: a click-to-chat link, a QR code you can print, and a WhatsApp button for your website. Malaysian numbers are formatted for you automatically.
One tap opens a WhatsApp chat with you, with your message already typed. No need to save your number first.
Download a PNG for social posts, a printable card for your counter, or an SVG your printer can scale to any size.
A floating "Chat with us" button. Copy one line of code into WordPress, Wix, Shopify or any website.
A WhatsApp link needs your full international number: country code first, then the number, with no +, spaces, dashes or leading zero. The tool does this for you, but here's what it changes:
| Country | You type | In the link |
|---|---|---|
| Malaysia | 012-345 6789 | 60123456789 |
| Malaysia (011 numbers) | 011-2345 6789 | 601123456789 |
| Singapore | 9123 4567 | 6591234567 |
| Australia | 0412 345 678 | 61412345678 |
| Indonesia | 0812-3456-7890 | 6281234567890 |
The most common mistake is keeping the leading 0. wa.me/60012… sends customers to a number that doesn't exist, and most people won't try again.
Use a slightly different ready-made message for each place you share the link. When a chat arrives, the first line tells you which channel brought it:
Keep it short and in your customers' language. A Bahasa Malaysia or Chinese message often feels more natural to local customers than English.
If you advertise on Google, Google needs to know which clicks turned into conversations. Otherwise it can't learn which ads and keywords bring customers. We track WhatsApp button clicks as their own conversion in Google Tag Manager, separately from forms and calls, and then check them against the chats that actually arrive. The button code above has id="whatsapp-button", which makes that easy to set up.
It's one of the first things we check in a Google Ads account: in many accounts we audit, WhatsApp clicks aren't tracked at all, so the budget can't follow what works.
Yes. wa.me is WhatsApp's own click-to-chat format. It's free and works with both WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business.
Yes. On a computer it opens WhatsApp Web or the WhatsApp desktop app.
No. It works for as long as the number is on WhatsApp. If you change your number, create a new link and QR code.
Only if you registered that landline with WhatsApp Business. Most Malaysian businesses use a mobile number (starting with 01).
Not from the link itself. Put the button on your website and track clicks with Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager.
No. Everything happens in your browser. Your number and message are never sent to our server.
