Google Ads charges per click, so your budget is simply the clicks you need multiplied by what each click costs:
Clicks needed = leads you want ÷ conversion rate
Monthly budget = clicks needed × average cost per click
Daily budget = monthly budget ÷ 30.4
For example, if you want 20 leads, convert 5% of clicks and pay RM3 per click, you need 400 clicks and a budget of about RM1,200 a month (around RM39 a day). Each lead costs about RM60.
Cost per click: in Google Ads, open Campaigns and add the "Avg. CPC" column. If you haven't advertised before, use Keyword Planner: the "top of page bid" range for your main keywords is a realistic starting point.
Conversion rate: the share of clicks that become a lead (a form, call or WhatsApp chat). You'll only see a reliable number if conversion tracking is set up. Many service businesses land somewhere between 2% and 10%, but it depends heavily on your landing page and offer.
Give a new campaign at least 4–6 weeks before judging it: Google needs data to optimise, and early cost per click is often higher. Make sure your daily budget can buy at least 10–20 clicks a day; a budget that only buys a few clicks makes it hard to learn anything. If the budget is more than you can afford, improving your conversion rate usually helps more than chasing a cheaper click.
Not exactly. Google can spend up to twice your daily budget on busy days, but over a month it won't charge more than about 30.4 times your daily budget.
Yes. Pick your currency and use your own cost per click; the formula is the same in every market.
