Know exactly which ad, email or post brought each visitor. Add your page URL and campaign details, and we'll build a tracked link you can use in ads, emails and WhatsApp broadcasts.
Use the exact page you want people to land on.
Fill in source, medium and campaign, or click a preset like Google Ads.
Use the tracked link in your ad, email or WhatsApp message, then see the results in Google Analytics 4.
We convert everything to lowercase and replace spaces with underscores, because "Facebook" and "facebook" show up as two different sources in Google Analytics.
If your Google Ads and Google Analytics 4 accounts are linked with auto-tagging on (the default), GA4 already knows the traffic is from Google Ads, so UTMs aren't required. Many advertisers still add them for consistency across tools like CRMs and call tracking. The Google Ads preset uses {keyword}, a ValueTrack parameter that Google replaces with the actual keyword when someone clicks.
The best place to add them in Google Ads is the account or campaign Final URL suffix, not each ad's URL.
UTMs matter most for traffic Google can't identify on its own: WhatsApp broadcasts, email newsletters, QR codes on flyers, social posts and partner websites. Without them, much of this shows up as "direct" traffic.
No, as long as you only use them on links in ads, emails and social posts. Don't add UTMs to links between pages on your own website, because that resets the original source of the visit in GA4.
